Vaccinations

As the saying goes, prevention is far better than cure. Fortunately vaccines are available for many of the major fatal diseases that your animals may face and form an important part in disease control. It is not only important that your pet receives an annual booster but also an annual health check. This allows a thorough examination by the vet which can be crucial in diagnosing conditions that can be treated if picked up early.

The following vaccinations are available, please click on a vaccination to view.

Payment

To keep our costs and prices as low as possible, we ask for payment at the time of treatment. Most major credit and debit cards are accepted, along with guaranteed cheques and cash.

We also take payments over the phone.

Your vet will be happy to give an estimate of the likely costs of any recommended treatment on request.

Please inform the Veterinary Surgeon if you are on a limited budget. See the PDSA PetAid section.

RainsbrookParasite Control

The downside of having pets is discovering their little friends that sometimes come with them. Effective flea control is easily achieved by using a spot on preparation to treat your pet and the house.

Worming, especially in your pet’s first 6 months of life, is very important for the health of you, your family and your pet.

It is best to do this every month up to the age of 6 months and then every 3 months thereafter, with a simple tablet. These are available from the surgery.

More information is available at www.fleatickfacts.com and www.wormfree.co.uk.

All new puppies and kittens get their first flea and worm treatment free of charge.
