Congratulations to Marie, our kennel assistant. Marie married Paul on May 3rd in Rugby. Some of you may not have met Marie, but she works very hard looking after all our in-patients at our Rugby surgery. We wish her and Paul all the best for the future.
We also have 3 other members of staff getting married this year!
June is National Microchip Month
Have you or someone you know ever lost a beloved pet?
We can all imagine how that feels and what we could have done to help reunite a pet with its owner as soon as possible.
It is a legal requirement that all dogs should wear a collar and tag, but these can be easily removed or lost. Cats often have no form of identification and will travel long distances. Can you be sure that they will find their way home?
Having your pet microchipped goes a long way to help reunite pets with their owners.
A microchip is a small chip the size of a grain of rice, placed in between your pet’s shoulder blades. The process requires no sedation or anaesthesia. The chip has a unique number, which can be read by any scanner kept by vets, charities, rescue centres and the police. Any pet can be microchipped, from horses to fish!
A microchip is an essential requirement of the Pet Travel Scheme, if you are considering taking your pet abroad.
All your contact details are stored on a computer database so if your pet is found and scanned, the database will find your details and get in contact.
If your pet is not yet microchipped make an appointment to come and see us for our special price of £11.00 (usual price £15.00).
