In the case of an urgent problem it always best to telephone the surgery to let us know you are on your way and we will ensure you will be seen as soon as possible on your arrival.

Emergencies outside surgery hours

We provide our own 24 hour emergency service at our own sites, so in the event of an emergency, you will only have to go to your familiar local surgery and not need to travel to an unfamiliar place in what could be a very stressful and upsetting time.

Our own vets and nurses provide our 24 hour cover.

Any patients that need hospitalization overnight are kept at our own surgeries with our own veterinary nurses who live on site performing a 'last check' at around 10pm at night, and then if further overnight care is required, our vet or nurse on call will provide this throughout the night where necessary.

What to do if you need a vet when we are closed:

• Follow the answer-phone instructions on how to contact the vet on call.
• The vet will call you back after they have been paged to provide advice, or to arrange to meet you at your local surgery.

Please be advised, there is an additional charge for emergency consultations outside of normal hours. Most insurance companies will pay for emergency consultations, so this is another good reason for having your pets insured.

The on-call vet will be working the next day, so if you are worried about your pet it is much appreciated if you telephone as soon as possible rather than waiting to the early hours.
